TRYOUT DATES HAVE BEEN SET!!!

TRYOUT DATES FOR THE 2023 VARSITY/JV VOLLEYBALL TEAMS HAVE BEEN SET! Please read below:

1. Thursday, May 11, 2022: Registration/paperwork day ONLY (no actual play). Please stop by the lobby of the CHS Gwyn-McClure Gym between 3:45 pm and 6 pm on Thursday, May 11 to turn in a copy of your physical, check your registration, and get your tryout number. WE NEED YOUR PAPERWORK ON THURSDAY. If you are unable to attend the paperwork day, please send an email explaining the circumstances to [email protected] This should be a very quick process on Thursday --- but remember: ALL participants must turn in a COPY of the CCSD physical form signed in the appropriate places by the student/parent/guardian and physician. Please leave your original signed form at home for future use/reference. A copy of all applicable portions of the form must be presented before a participant will be allowed to try out. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRY OUT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF YOUR COMPLETED/SIGNED PHYSICAL FORM WITH YOU. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Please click HERE for the CCSD physical form. REMEMBER: You MUST use this form - take it with you when you go to the doctor.

2. Monday, May 15 through Wednesday, May 17, 2023: Tryouts will be held May 15-17 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Gwyn- McClure Gym. EVERYONE PLEASE CHECK IN AT THE LOBBY (unless you see a sign that says differently). We understand that middle school students may arrive late because of the 4:15 school dismissal. Do not worry about this -- just get to the gym as soon as you can. You do not need to email us to tell us that you will be late. Everyone should plan to attend all three days of tryouts. Cuts may occur -- but plan at this point to attend all three days. Please wear appropriate volleyball clothing (shorts, t-shirt, athletic shoes, kneepads, etc).

3. Everyone that plans to try out MUST sign up using this link: REGISTER HERE You will be directed to picklejuiceapp.com to make an account and sign up for tryouts (returning players can use their picklejuice sign-in info from last year). Please provide the requested parent and participant information, opt into text messaging so that we can communicate with you, and answer the custom questions. There is no fee to tryout (the registration will take you through some fee screens, but the dollar amount listed is $0.00).

4. PT Solutions in Smyrna will be performing athletic physicals on 4/22/23. Please see the flyer HERE for a QR code to sign up to attend. NOTE: You do not have to get your physical on 4/22 at PT Solutions (and it actually looks like many slots are already taken); this is just an option. You can get your own doctor to perform the physical/go to a minute clinic, etc. BUT YOU MUST TURN IN A COMPLETED CCSD PHYSICAL FORM TO TRY OUT FOR VOLLEYBALL!!
